Project Overview
Paradiso Courtyard transforms a spacious courtyard into a sophisticated, experience-driven garden lounge. Working within a compact footprint, created a layered indoor–outdoor retreat that reads as a private salon — a place for relaxed conversation and evening gatherings.
Design Concept & Inspiration
A refined indoor lounge and a lively outdoor promenade are united through materiality and lighting: bold chevron paving, soft curved seating, vertical planting and a canopy of pendants make the courtyard feel both curated and inviting.
Key ideas
- Create a private, jewel-like courtyard that feels luxurious yet relaxed
- Use bold floor geometry to define the outdoor promenade
- Frame the garden with layered planting and trellis for depth
- Design furniture & circulation to allow flexible small-group seating
Entrance & First Impressions
A glass folding façade creates a clear threshold. The approach reveals the chevron promenade and the glazed lounge pod with a backlit sculptural wall inside — a deliberate staged reveal that heightens the arrival experience.
Lounge & Interior Hub
The interior lounge reads like a modern salon: curved sofas, sculptural backrests and a raised white platform that frames the seating cluster. A reflective skylight grid adds perceived height and elegance.
Garden Promenade & Seating
The terrace is designed as a promenade that promotes lingering:
- Hanging pendants and lanterns form a canopy above the pergola
- A dedicated swing / cocoon seat sits on a circular plinth as a focal point
- Vertical planters and low hedges define circulation and privacy
Lighting & Ambience
Layered lighting — pendants, linear LED strips, bollards and a backlit feature wall — creates depth and atmosphere while supporting safe movement after dusk.
Materials & Finishes
The palette pairs graphic black & white chevron tiles with light stone surfaces, warm timber slats and soft grey upholstery — a sophisticated, low-maintenance mix.
Outcome
Paradiso Courtyard converts a tight terrace into a memorable destination: bold geometry, sculptural seating and lush planting come together to offer a premium, functional outdoor living experience.
